Ebates - cash back for most online purchases!!!!

Savings!

The best time to print your coupons is the beginning of the month.  Some online coupon sites limit the total number of prints only.  Others limit the daily prints, and still others limit monthly prints.  Most coupons are initially offered at the beginning of the month.  For the best selection of coupons, check just after midnight or early in the morning on the first of the month.  Here are some sites I like to use for coupons, and a few other things :-)

http://www.mysavings.com/ this one is my favorite - they have several search engines available all on the same site.  You do have to sign up, but you can opt out of any mailings & won't get spam from them.  Some of the things you can click through will add cookies and spam to your computer and inbox, but the site itself will not.  Printing coupons doesn't add these either.

Swagbucks obviously, I'm a big fac of Swagbucks.  There is a link on this page that give mes a referral credit if you sign up - I get a match of your first 1000 Swagbucks, which is worth $10 in Amazon credits with 100 Swagbucks left over!  They have a coupon engine on there, as well.  It feeds from SmartSource, and after you use the coupons in the store, they somehow get traced backt o Swagbucks, and you receive 10 Swagbucks per coupon redeemed.  I use these regulrarly, and if I decide not to use a coupon I've printed, I leave it for other people to use - they save money & I get Swagbucks!!

http://www.pgeverydaysolutions.com/pgeds/pgeverydaysavings/rebate-eds-or-general.jsp p & g savings form.  once a year they offer this, I believe.  You have a few months to accumulate receipts with $50 of participating products from P&G & they will mail you a coupon booklet with over $110 in coupons for the following year - many of these coupons have been the kind that will get you a free travel sized product in the past, as well.  Check it out if you want more details.  If you're a P&G fan, sign up for the P&GSampler mailing list - they'll offer you samples and coupons (that you select) once a quarter, as well . . .

http://bricks.coupons.com/

Target.com - you can print coupons from this site in the store & not buy ink - they offer lots of coupons now - it used to be just a few, and you can use one Target coupon AND one manufacturer's coupon per item!!
http://www.allyou.com/ all you offers coupons that are mostly similar to other coupon engines out there, but they have some exclusives, so it's worth checking!

http://www.mambosprouts.com/sign-up.php?utm_source=homepage&utm_medium=button&utm_campaign=startsaving Mambo Sprouts is a coupon source for all natural products - it includes the Canus, Ian's Natural Foods and more . . .

Coupons.com - I'm not a big fan of the direct sit, but use their coupons from mysavings.com

RedPlum.com - this one is less user friendly than coupons.com and they've had fewer things I can use, but they have saved me some money . . .

http://www.amlactin.com/ offers coupons for Amlactin - there are a few varieties.  I recommend the foot cream - it's strong and I like the texture and smell compared to other varieties.  There is a freebies listing for Amlactin lotion on the freebies page - not a as strong and not as thick as the foot cream . . .  Dave sells this to wholesalers and pharmacies for work, so we know that sometimes it's kept behind the pharm counter, even though it's not prescription product, and any pharmacy can get it with a 1 business day turnaround. . . Amlactin has recently been featured in Glamour and Self Magazines, too!

http://www.dove.us/ Dove product coupons & samples.  I believe you can pint 2 per printer on these, using the back arrow on your browset - you'll probably have to hit it 2-3 times in a row, though - you'll see coupon print on the tab when it works.  This technique works on many coupon sites - usually 2 per printer . . .  If you're a fan of Dove products, become an insider - they have contests where I've won full-sized products, and they have coupons & samples regularly.  You can opt out of the mailings, but I don't believe I've ever gotten Spam from that site.

http://offers.e-centives.com/registration/col.cfm?type=portal&id=F27FDBF0-5C0B-4998-9FC6-6E3EEB1F1590 Lysol products printable coupons - several choices & updated regularly

Beyond the Rack: http://www.beyondtherack.com/member/invite/B1524C3B This site offers deep discounts on designer merchandise. I found out about it through a sweepstakes. I believe you get $10 in credits just for signing up, and no, you won't get anything for only $10. They have mens, womens, clothing, jewelry, handbags, cufflinks, cell phone fobs . . . you name it. The deals run for a few days at a time by designer. If you click on the link in this paragraph & make a purchase, I'll also get a $10 credit (only if you make a purchase). This isn't going to be a freebie or cheap deal like many that I have listed here, but if it falls into your passions & you have budgeted for that, check it out.

Crowd Cut. I have not tried this service, but it was recommended through someone my husband knows. It's similar to Groupon, apparently, which I also haven't tried. The person who recommended it got a $10 off coupon for one waterfront restaurant & a deal where and $80 value was offered for $35 in a downtown restaurant. My husband has been excited about these kinds of offers in the past, and I'll admit that I enjoy the food, but it's not my passion. Check it out if you're interested.

Another Restaurant option for savings is Restaurant.com. Also, Swag bucks (link on the right side of the page) offers a $25 gift card to there with the Swag bucks, so it's a great option. We have used a gift card from Swag at Restaurant.com & I didn't choose a good one, so it wasn't the best experience. The food was good, but the ambiance, not so much. Usually, the gift cards you can get there require a purchase, so it's more like spend $35 or more and get $25 off, or you get half price at a price range . . . there are lots of ethnic, small restaurant options in MN. Check out the site for options in your area, and if you want it to be even cheaper, use Swagbucks to get the gift certificates there!

Northwestern BookStores - there aren't links I can put here for coupons, at least not that I've found.  However, if you sign up for an online account and allow for promotional e-mails, you will receive 20% off a single regular-priced item coupon on an e-mail periodically.  You can then forward the e-mails to your friends and family so that they can also print the coupons.  The one I received today expires in 2 weeks.  You have to be patient, though - I didn't get a coupon very quickly after signing up.  The good news about that is that you probably won't get lots of spam, either ;-)

http://www.seventhgeneration.com/.  There are regularly coupons from this company for a variety of products.  I like their all-purpose surface cleaner (good on glass, too) and the laundry detergent - Free & Clear, the best.  I also started using their dryer sheets which are compostable and/or recyclable.  One of my sisters-in-law also likes their dishwasher powder, but I honestly didn't like it.  These products are very nice & natural - some of the lavender scents bother me, but it's nice that they're available at mainstream places like Target, as well as being very natural.  Also, the main web site always has coupons - baby wipes, cleaning products, and more usually . . .

http://oldnavy.shoplocal.com/oldnavy/ Kira told me that you can find hidden coupons for Old Navy & that there are lots of them - she gets fabulous deals this way - I think this link will get you there . . .

http://www.fiberchoice.com/images/en/Email/CHFC0004/HTMLVersion.htm Fiber Plus offers a Frequent Fiber club for coupons, sweepstakes & more . . .

Let's Dish
We use Let's Dish for many of our meals.  It's convenient & affordable.  You can order preassembled dishes to feed 6, side dishes & desserts presassembled, or sign up to have dishes made for you in quantities of 4, 8 or 12 (each dish serves 6).  When you do Dish & Dash, you can include special instructions & just pick them up (delivery is available too).  The cheapest way to do this is to order 12 dishes as once online with a coupon code.  There can be 2 people (ages 12 & up) for each order in the shop.  With 2 people, we can do that amount in an hour and a half, and it lasts us a month with some fill-in cooking & eating out, etc.  We usually get it for somewhere around $2.50-$3.00 per serving.  When you dish it yourself, it's easiest to make substitutions, like brown rice for white, and nutritional information is available online.  If you choose to sign up for the first time, please send me your e-mail address and name.  You'll get an e-mail with a coupon code ($20 off, I think), and I'll get some money off of my future food order.  Our grocery bills went down by more than what we spend on Let's Dish when we started doing it consistently.  Check it out!  I've stopped keeping track of the promo codes - just contact your nearest location and ask - they'll give them to you :-)

  • Grocery Coupon Links - many printable coupons will allow more than one printing if you use your back arrow on your browser.

Weight Watchers/ Smart Ones regularly offers coupons directly from their web site

Box Tops for Education has their own web site where you can enter contest to win Box Tops for your school - shop online for credits directly to the school you plug in, and print coupons for products that use Box Tops For Education.  Very cool!

Target allows you to use one Target AND one manufacturer's coupon per item you purchase, so by all means, double up on those grocery and other necessity coupons!!

Buy Used from an online retailer
We all know that buying used items carries some risk.  This can be minimzed by using online retailers, who have return policies and guarantees.  On the Spring Clean for Cash page, I list some ideas on selling your used items.  However, you can also save by buying from these businesses.  I have links to several of the online secondhand dealers I've done business with.  If you're interested, please use the links that are on all of these pages, and I'll get a small bonus for the referral - it doesn't affect your price, and then I get a small referral bonus.  Thanks!  Here's a summary:
  • Cash4Books - link at the right side of the page - used books with stringent condition guidelines.  I've sold to them before, but haven't purchased there, since I'm an avid library user.  If you're a book fanatic, this might be a great way to add to your collection without breaking the bank.
  • SecondSpin - link at the right side of the page - I've sold to and purchased from there, with great satisfaction all around.
  • Gazelle.com - link at the right side of the page - I've sold to them, and it was a great experience - I checked out several options before selecting Gazelle.  We will definitely be shopping with them in the future.  Hopefully, I won't need to soon, but my laptop is showing evidence of wear :-p.  They also deal with cell phones, BlueRay discs, and much more - check them out if you're shopping for gadgets.  They do a lot of testing on products as they arrive to confirm that they are in working order & I'm sure they have a guarantee and/or return policy.

Once Upon A Child
http://www.onceuponachild.com/ sign up for their e-mail list & get coupons for 20% off your total purchase somewhat regularly.  They offer a return policy on regular-priced items, 7 days I think.  Also, our local ones offer a punch card for every $10 either purchased or sold to them - when it's full of punches, you get 20% off your next purchase (or whichever one you choose).  Right now, our local one is taking "designer lables" for Fall clothes for toddler sizes, and will take all brands and infant sizes for Fall starting in September.  When shopping back-to-school, I know ka mother of 4 who puts together the outfits in various brands for her 2 eldest kids each Fall & saves a bundle by shopping there.  The other bonus is that your kid won't look like a clone of all the other kids :-)

Turn Style Consignment Shops
We've tried different per-owned options, and this one rocks!!  We've literally done hundreds of dollars worth of business with them . . . probably over $1000 now - it's been a few years.  There are multiple locations & your credits from selling can be transferred from one to another, so you can look or call around for a particular kind of item.  They offer clothing from 18 months on up - including mens, maternity, jewelry, handbags, shoes and housewares - I even got a couple of doorknobs for our basement there!  They also offer a mailing list for sales, but they are somewhat infrequent & the prices are so good to start with . . .  If you sign up for their e-mail list, you'll get 20% off coupons periodically . . . They are currently running a sale of 50% off any summer tagged items, I believe, and 20% off of all home store products.  They are thinning their stock of spring & summer clothes and transitioning into Fall . . .  keep this in mind if you're shopping for layering pieces, a few additions to wear right now, or thining of bringing in your unworn clothes soon!

Pet Coupons

http://www.chuckanddons.com/pages/web_coupon.html Chuck & Don's - they offer a different web coupon each month!

Zyrtec coupons
You can join the Zyrtec nation to get coupons e-mailed to you.  I believe they are now also offering a pollen forecast e-mail like Nasonex has done before - I already had the Nasonex one set up, so I didn't pay too much attention . . ..

Online Shopping

If you're an online shopper, consider using some kind of cashback option.  Ebates is my favorite, another site Pam turned me on to.  They also list coupon codes and more.  we got honeycomb blinds for our main level and saved hundreds - some immediately with the coupon codes, some because online it was cheaper than at Lowe's or Home Depot, and some with the cashback check that came later.  The include sites like Target, as well, so I have gotten cash back on gift registry purchases, too.  If you're interested in this site, please do me the kindness of contacting me - they give referral bonuses if a current member enters your e-mail address.  If you're willing, please let Pam or I get the referral bonus, and you will still get an activation bonus in addition to the savings!  There is also a link on this site that will get me a referral credit without sacrificing any of your reward.

Ebay - this is an interesting one - they offer Buyer Protection to minimize the risk, and you can go in through eBates (see above) for an additional 1%-4% cashback - depends on the category of goods you buy.  They also offer eBay bucks, which is separate from eBates, and gets you money off of eBay purchases quarterly.  It's also cool not to have to pay for gas and to be able to shop in your PJs and/or without loading kids (or yourself) into a car!!

Fatwallet.com is a similar format to ebates, but I wasn't as happy with it - different vendors there, though, so it might be a nice complimentary service.  If you're interested in this, I think there might be a referral bonus on that one, as well, so please let me know if you'd like to use it.

Swag and Goodsearch both have options for bonuses with online purchases, as well, so don't overlook those options.  I haven't used either of these options at this point, but it's worth checking out, I'll bet.  There is a link to Swagbucks on the right side of this page.

Printable Coupons in General:

I joined mysavings.com & use their multiple printable coupons for shopping & have been very pleased with it.  Dave's parents don't use their coupons, but get the Sunday paper & send over the coupons, so we add those to the mix.  We also learned that buying the largest size isn't always cheaper.  At listed prices, sometimes the larger package is a higher price per unit than smaller ones.  If you have multiple coupons, you can use only one per item, so in many cases this can be cheaper than buying one bigger item & using one coupon . . . just some food for thought.

I like the Target coupon generator at http://www.afullcup.com/ which Pam also referred me to, I believe.  There's a lot of other things on there, but I use it primarily for Target coupons - they have more available there than directly from the Target.com coupons section, actually . . .

Pam had another coupon suggestion that I haven't checked out, yet - http://www.pocketyourdollars.com/ which she uses to find the best prices when you combine coupons & sale prices at different stores.  My understanding is that this is grocery-related.  She said it takes time but has saved her more money than anything else.  This is local to the Twin Cities in MN.  Check it out!

http://www.dealseekingmom.com/ does a similar thing with Walmart, checking sale prices and coupons combined - She lives in Ohio.  I've been able to redeem some of them at the local Walmart, but not all of the grocery ones, so it depends upon the location.  She links many coupons that will get you freebies, too!!  There are many other features to this site, so check it out when you have some time to explore.
