Efficiency & Ethics

I told you I'd show you legal & ethical ways to stretch a dollar, and I'm committed to that! Some people have wondered allowed to me what the companies that are offering the freebies & samples are getting out of it. I can answer that - they are still getting their advertizing & new customers. Cousin Scott & his family now use only Dove haircare products because of the freebie they got. Sherri ran out of shampoo one day & pulled out a shampoo sample (which had been earmarked for the food shelf or shelter) and used that. She loved it so much that they don't buy any other kind now. The aerie a-list freebies got me into their store, which I had never entered. I now go there for all of my tank tops, underwear & bras. The underwear started because of a freebie & the bra based on another offer they had for trying on bras . . . you get the idea. There are snack food items I'm consistently drawn to now because of a freebie we got long ago - yes, it's marketing & it works, for you and the company!

Now for efficiency. Filling out all these forms takes a lot of time & can result in spam, spyware, etc. I strongly suggest Norton Internet protection. I have taken many of the risks I won't post on this blog & have gotten through it without replacing a computer or having to start a new e-mail account . . . at least so far - it's been a year & a half. Another cool feature they offer are identity cards & logins. You can set up identity cards & log-ins for frequented pages. You pull down the list of identity cards from your toolbar & it fills in as much as the web site will let it. My mother will not go online, but will collect the freebies, using the ones she wants & giving me the ones I want, etc. She has an identity card on here. My in-laws . . . same deal. See the possibilities? One per household can still go a long way when people collaborate & when you sign up for more than one! Norton protection works on up to 3 computers - my Dad's computer is protected right along with my husbands' and mine - make it go the mileage & share the costs!!

Have fun & I'll keep adding stuff! Thanks for those of you who have been sharing tips. I'm trying to get through the volume right now, and will look forward to implementing as many of them as possible soon!
