store surveys for gift cards

Do you ever wonder if it's worthwhile to do those customer service surveys? I decided to try it for a while. Those are places we spend our money anyway, so the gift cards directly help our budget. A few weeks ago, never having won, I decided it wasn't worthwhile. Last Saturday, I got a $50 gift card to Perkins in the mail with a letter saying I'd won the December survey sweeps. Now, we don't go to Perkins often, so it's interesting that I won that one and not something that I've entered regularly for months, but still . . . $50 in free food for one phone call seems good. However, I have no idea how many of those kinds of surveys I did, and they all add up to what I invested to win that one gift card . . . free food is good anyway :-)

  1. In-store surveys provide an understanding of the customer motivations and shopping behavior. Why are the customers coming to you? If you know why they are coming now, you know what to do to keep them in the future.
