Do companies benefit from freebies?

This is a question I get a lot. People ask if I feel like I'm taking advantage of companies. Honestly, no. I'll give you some examples as proof . . . When companies offer free samples, it's to get you to try their product - they believe in it and think that if you try it, you'll like it enough to buy it. And they are right in many cases!! Sherri, wife of the Blog's namesake & a freebie buddy of mine, ran out of shampoo one day & grabbed one of her Dove shampoo and conditioner samples; they now buy no other brand - she LOVED it! I won an anastasia mascara mini and I have tried lots of mascaras - I can't tell you how much I loved this mascara - it's fabulous! Dave works for a pharmaceutical company - there is a reason they give out samples and we know many people who are now addicted to a line of lotions they make. My siste-in-law learned that she likes Aveda Color Conserve shampoo and my mother got into Fekkai glossing cream, as well as Aveda anti-frizz products, Dave has found new cereal choices through trying freebies, and that's how I got addicted to Aveda Hand Repair . . . I could give you lots more examples. Companies benefit - I am absolutely convinced. If they didn't, there wouldn't be freebies out there. So, enjoy the freebies and make wise decisions with your spending without guilt :-)
