Free after Rebates

I posted a Schick free after rebate razor link on the freebies page under the Beauty section (sorry guys). It will reimburse up to $10 something I think. I got mine at Target fro $7.99, and it got me thinking about a brief discussion I had with someone. Their comment was that if it's free, who cares how much the store charges . . . I disagree on several levels. First of all, we want to support the stores that offer us good prices on everything, cause most of what we buy isn't free. Then, there is the company offering the rebate - don't we want them to thrive (and offer more freebies later)? Finally, the selfish reason - we pay tax on this stuff, and the lower the price, the lower the tax . . . just some food for thought. I got my paint samples from FedEx today - hope you had something fun in your mailbox!!
