I don't think I've talked about this in a while, but bartering ROCKS! Today, I talked with a friend who just graduated from HS & needs a fridge for her dorm room. Her dad happens to be a computer repair specialist (AKA magician). I told them that if he can figure out how to wipe the memory clean on a laptop that I can't power up, I'd give them the mini fridge I'm not using. Don't tell them, but we'll give her the fridge, anyway :-) Seriously, it's a cashfree transaction and oftentimes as good (or even better) than free! Try it out & get creative. Another upside is the tax advantage (if it's not overused, that is . . . there are laws, I'm sure). Try it out!
